    9 Tips to Help You Keep Your Looks

    The more you age, the more you should pay attention to your looks.  It would be great if we could all maintain our fresh youthful appearance but unfortunately it is difficult to stop the natural course of things.  However, there are things we do that are speeding up the ageing process so it is important to know what they are so we can stop or avoid doing them. 
    Below are some tips to help you stay younger looking longer:

    1. Take good care of your skin most especially on those areas that are exposed like your face, neck and hands.  Your age can be read by the condition of your skin in these areas of your body.  Sun and smoke can really damage the skin so try to avoid exposure to these elements.  Use the best skin products and always moisturize.  Also, use make-up carefully because it can make your skin condition worse if you don’t use it correctly.
    2. Make sure your eyes are clear and sparkling.  You should make sure to give yourself and your eyes enough rest and sleep.  If you need glasses, get a pair that suits your face shape and more importantly, is of the right optical grade.
    3. Always smile.  It will create a pleasant and light aura about you and people will notice.  Needless to say, you should also have nice clean teeth so practice good dental hygiene.
    4. Don’t be a grouch, laugh more often.  A person who enjoys a good laugh will be considered a good companion and a pleasant person.  People will always want to have you around.
    5. Take care of your hair.  The kind of haircut you sport can make or break you.  You can look a lot older or a lot younger depending on wear your hair.  Also, make sure it is in good condition.  Keep it clean and do damage repair if necessary.
    6. Exercise regularly.  Physical activity reduces stress and helps you stay trim and fit.  You will also have more energy which in turn raises your spirit.
    7. Eat a balanced diet.  If you provide your body with the nutrients it needs, you will be healthier and less prone to diseases.  You will also be less prone to putting on excess weight or if you already are, then you will begin to trim down.  A diet that will help you stay youthful is one that includes food rich in Omega 3 and antioxidants.
    8. Wear proper clothes that are appropriate for your age and personality.  A good choice will give you a pleasant appearance while a bad selection can make you look:  (a) older than you really are (b)like you’re trying desperately to look young or (c) likea negligent person who puts no value on yourself.
    9. Change your outlook.  Think positive! What is in your mind will reflect on your face, how you carry yourself as well as your attitude.  If you think you look good, then you will.  In cosmetics mogul Estee Lauder words: “Beauty is an attitude. There’s no secret. Why are all brides beautiful? Because on their wedding day they care about how they look. There are no ugly women — only women who don’t care or who don’t believe they’re attractive.” And this does not only apply to women but to men as well.
