    Prevention of Wrinkles
     

    Whether you’re starting early or you already have wrinkles, there are a lot of preventative steps you can take to minimize the effect of wrinkles on your face. This article lists the guidelines you should follow for the best prevention of wrinkles.

    Quit Smoking – It helps prevent wrinkles

    Not that you need another reason to quit, but smoking makes your wrinkles worse. The toxins in the cigarette smoke are horrible for your skin and breaks down the upper lays of the skin. These stop thinning of the skin and loss of elasticity – wrinkles.

    Smoking robs your skin of moisture which is unhealthy for the skin which can cause your wrinkles to look deeper.

    Ultraviolet (UV) radiation causes wrinkles

    While in a perfect world, we would stay out of the sun, this isn’t humanly possible, at least for me. Whenever possible, Stay out of the sun as much as possible, especially during peak hours, generally that’s around 11am – 3pm. During these hours, the UV is the strongest which can cause the epidermis and dermis.. which will cause thinning of the skining, thus causing wrinkles.

    When being outside for long periods of time, apply sunscreen to the face, ears, and neck. If you have a hat, wear that as well. If you aren’t using a water proof sunscreen, than reapply after every visit the pool, lake, ocean, etc.

    Moisturizing helps prevent wrinkles

    When you moisturize your skin adequately, the epidermis stays healthy and hydrated. This helps prevent the epidermis from sagging and creating wrinkles. Carry a bottle of moisturizer in your purse so that you can easily remember to moisturize at least once a day. Drinking a few glasses of water a day, also helps by keeping you and your skin hydrated. Besides all of the other health benefits, drink atleast 3-4 glasses of water a day.

    There are many moisturizers available that contain additional wrinkle prevention ingredients like antioxidants and sun block.

    Develop a regimen now to prevent wrinkles

    Anyone who is concerned about their skin, should follow a basic, but important daily regimen for maximum dermal health as well as preventing wrinkles. Even if you haven’t started forming wrinkles, you should start working towards keeping them away. Wrinkles are inevitable with age, so if you can start a simple regime now, than you are going to prevent them for that much longer. Even if you have just the first signs of wrinkles, an anti wrinkle cream or product can frequently stop those developing wrinkles in their tracks and prevent them from becoming deeper and more noticeable.

    The easiest and most effective regime would consist of: washing, applying your anti wrinkle product, and moisturizing. Most anti wrinkle products should only be used twice per day, morning and evening, and nearly all are compatible with a moisturizer. Although, some of the better wrinkle products will only need to be applied once a day and than moisturized a few times a day, if possible..

    It is important that you choose the best anti wrinkle product. Ineffective products will have little or no effect on wrinkles, while the best products can create noticeable improvements within a few weeks.
